Cameroon Long Stay eVisa Guide

Relocating to Yaoundé for a year-long work contract meant a short-stay permit simply wouldn't cover the timeline. Anyone staying beyond six months needs the Cameroon Long Stay eVisa instead, which covers purposes ranging from work and study to family reunification and religious visits.

Getting there required a passport scan, round-trip ticket, yellow fever certificate, and accommodation proof, uploaded through the standard online form. Both single and multiple entry options run from six months up to a full year of validity.

Processing speed made the biggest difference:

  • Normal: 9–11 working days

  • Rush: 7–9 working days

  • Super Rush: 5–7 working days

Extensions are possible by contacting the DGNS office before expiry, though final entry approval still rests with immigration officers at the border, regardless of what the eVisa confirms.
