MD is brief enough to be memorable and broad enough to invite several interpretations. I would not want to decide what it means without some context from the educational information around it. That is why a clear introduction matters to me for MD education information. A visitor needs an understandable starting point, including the subject and intended audience. Once those details are visible, the abbreviation can become a useful label rather than a puzzle that distracts from the information itself.
